New grant to industriell miljöteknik from VINNOVA Produktion 2030
The grant is given to a project named Circular Economy through Innovating Design (Circularis). It aims at developing innovative support for Swedish manufacturers to design products/services for resource efficiency and sustainability. The project's deliverables include software, with lifecycle and sustainability focus, for designing product/service including calculation of lifecycle cost for them as well as a guideline packaged with the software for designers regarding correlation between lifecycle cost driven designs and their impacts on environmental sustainability.
Tomohiko Sakao is the project manager (involving Yang Liu and Mattias Lindahl). It is a joint project with Chalmers as well as companies including Maxiom AB, a PLM developer. The grant from VINNOVA to the project is 4.9 MSEK, of which 3.7 MSEK comes to LiU.
