Presentation

Presentation of the programme

The Master in Political Science with specialisation in International and European Relations develops students' capacity for informed critical analysis in International and European Relations. The programme examines International and European Relations theory and practice, incorporating interdisciplinary perspectives from politics, economics, law, history and policy analysis. The programme addresses the processes of integration and disintegration at both the global level as well as within and between European countries. It also addresses the construction of the European Community and Union and the related institutional, legal, political, and economic developments. The student will:

  • acquire a deeper understanding of the history, theory and contemporary implications of International and European Relations, as well as of the centrifugal and integrative aspects of national and transnational interconnections and interdependence in broad temporal and spatial terms
  • acquire analytical tools to examine contemporary International and European relations.
