Research
Information technology and business development
The project aims at investigating the effects of increased information exchange and the use of Internet between industrial companies (often called eB2B). The project is coordinated by MTC/IFL and supported by the Swedish research agency Vinnova. 10 companies participate and share there pro and cons with eB2B (AGA, Bilia, ContextVision, Electrolux, Elof Hansson, Metso Minerals, Nordea, Sandvik, TetraPak, Volvo, VWR International). In the project we study how eB2B and how IT can be used for organisational and business development.
Value concepts and the value of service innovations
The project is future oriented and covers how services of tomorrow need to be developed and how that effects customers and companies. The point of departure is that technology is seldom the main problem in service development but that customers and users needs creates opportunities that is difficult to handle in many organisations. Customer involvement and customers perception of technology needs to be valued and communicated not only in one organisation through its business network. How this should be managed, its effects of organisations and services is studied through a number of 'service examples' such as the mobile phone as wallet, changed living, and TV banking. The project is coordinated by MTC/IFL and supported by the Swedish research agency Vinnova and 8 companies.
Supply chain performance and metrics
Measuring and managing supply chains is problematic since the actors that cooperate often have different traditions and view on how the chain should be evaluated. With the demands cooperation puts at operations and strategic measures does I study how different measurement systems (Balanced Scorecard, SCOR, etc) can be used for supply chains and which demands its puts on the IT-systems.
