About me

I work at division of Fluid and Mechatronic Systems at Linköping University. I started as a PhD student in January 2006 after I graduated from Mechanical Engineering at the university in December 2005. I defended my disertation thesis in January 2012 with the title "On Fluid Power Pump and Motor Design -Tools for Noise Reduction". My head supervisor during my Ph.D. studies was Prof. Jan-Ove Palmberg.

Noise in fluid power pump/motor

The main source of noise in hydraulic systems are pumps and motors, but also the valves produce noise. The focus in this project is to reduce flow pulsations and force variations in the machines. An important part of the project is to perform measurements at the division's test device for noise measurements to verify the simulation results and theories. The picture shows the test stand.
