Research Areas

The research is oriented towards system engineering with a focus on motion control systems. The activities are equally divided in theoretical and experimental research and are divided in four major activity areas:

Fluid Power Technology as a research area covering the three first mentioned activity areas was introduced at Linköping University to support a strongly growing industrial sector where Swedish industry has a leading position.

Autonomous Mechanical Systems initiated in 1989 mainly treats sensor fusion and range sensors.
