Thesis award given to LiU students

The National Thesis Award 2012 is given to LiU master's students Ekaterina Kalinina and Meaza Eshetu Abebe. Their master's thesis focus on coordination of projects within creative industries, involving multiple organisations. Jonas Söderlund has supervised the master thesis.

Best Teacher Award

Mikael Axin has been awarded the "Gyllene Skiftnyckeln" after being voted, Best teacher of the year, by members of the Mechanical Engineering section. Alessandro Dell' Amico, also from the division of Fluid and Mechatronic Systems, was one of the other three nominees.

Best Paper Award to Lindahl/Sakao

A research by Mattias Lindahl and Tomohiko Sakao on how the design of product-service offerings affects environmental impact and cost was rewarded best paper at the 5th CIRP conference on Industrial Product-Service Systems.

LiU Malmsten goes Milan

The hottest design and furniture fair in the world opens on 9 April in Milan. LiU Malmsten will be in Superstudio Più with their own showcase represented by 16 alumni and 8 students.

Megacities a huge market for environmental tech

There is certainly a huge market for Swedish environmental technology in a megacity like Mexico City. But environmental and social issues are closely intertwined; what works best is technology adapted to daily life in Mexico, as a new licentiate thesis shows.
