Thesis award given to LiU students

The National Thesis Award 2012 is given to LiU master's students Ekaterina Kalinina and Meaza Eshetu Abebe. Their master's thesis focus on coordination of projects within creative industries, involving multiple organisations. Jonas Söderlund has supervised the master thesis.

Best Teacher Award

Mikael Axin has been awarded the "Gyllene Skiftnyckeln" after being voted, Best teacher of the year, by members of the Mechanical Engineering section. Alessandro Dell' Amico, also from the division of Fluid and Mechatronic Systems, was one of the other three nominees.

Best Paper Award to Lindahl/Sakao

A research by Mattias Lindahl and Tomohiko Sakao on how the design of product-service offerings affects environmental impact and cost was rewarded best paper at the 5th CIRP conference on Industrial Product-Service Systems.

LiU-Malmsten ranked among top 100

The education programme at Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies at LiU is ranked among the hundred best in Europe. And they just landed the award for "Design School of the year" from Möbelriksdagen, the Swedish "Furniture Parliament".
